I liked medicine and I liked animals. Being a vet allowed me to combine the two.

2 dogs, 2 cats, and several granddogs

I have a piece of metal in my stifle knee area and have no idea where it came from.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Visiting with clients, talking at length about UGA athletics, and caring for our patients and their owners throughout their lives.

Why did you become a veterinarian?
When I was a child my pony was attacked by dogs. The veterinarian needed help cleaning her wounds and I was able to assist. I realized then that I could do it.

Cats: Miss Kitty and Spooky, Cici – a boxer, and Sadie – a border collie

I am a pageant and talent show judge and I actually know Miss America!
