When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian

Why did you become a veterinarian? When I was a child my pony was attacked by dogs. The veterinarian needed help cleaning her wounds and I was able to assist. I realized then that I could do it.

What pets do you have? Cats: Miss Kitty and Spooky, Cici – a boxer, and Sadie – a border collie

What little known fact about you would surprise clients (and possibly your co-workers)? I am a pageant and talent show judge and I actually know Miss America!

Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate!

How long have you worked at HCV? Since 1997

What is your favorite part of your job? Treating critically ill patients and helping to make them feel better.

If you wrote a book about your job at HCV, what would the title be? Every Day is a Surprise

In your opinion, what animals are most misunderstood? Cats
